How is Samplify different from a SAM, SaaS management or EA system?

SAM tools track what is installed. SaaS management platforms track usage and spend. EA systems map architecture. None of them govern the decision.

Why can't I just use ChatGPT or Copilot for this?

Do I need to integrate Samplify before I see results?

No. Samplify is designed to start before your data is clean.

You can begin with whatever software inventory you already have, even a single spreadsheet. Samplify normalises and enriches the data automatically. Integrations with SAM, SMP, ITSM and procurement systems are available for production deployments but are never a prerequisite to seeing value.

What data does Samplify need from me?

Whatever software list you have. A SAM export, a SaaS spend report, an Excel sheet from finance, or a list of subscriptions from your IT inventory.

Samplify ingests CSV, XLSX or multiple tabs at once and matches each row to a normalised software catalogue. Imperfect data is fine. Missing fields are fine. Samplify enriches what is missing and starts answering questions from day one.

What are the four decision verbs?

Every Samplify answer ends in one of four verbs.

  • BUY. Approve a new purchase, with the rationale and the recommended vendor.
  • RENEW. Continue the existing contract because no better option is in the estate.

What does stack-aware, feature-level, evidence-backed mean?

Stack-aware. Samplify learns what you actually own, including suites that bundle the requested tool, paid licences nobody uses, and shadow IT no one declared.

What's the difference between sam@ and sam_batch@?

sam@samplify.ai is the conversational endpoint. You email a single procurement question and receive a sourced recommendation in minutes. Use it for individual requests, renewals, or comparisons.

sam_batch@samplify.ai is the bulk endpoint. You attach a spreadsheet of dozens or hundreds of software entries and receive enriched output, including best-in-industry alternatives, best internal alternatives, actual price, actual users, and status fields. Use it for portfolio-wide rationalisation work.

What software does Samplify cover?

All commercial enterprise software.

Samplify maintains a normalised catalogue of public software products with feature-level metadata, pricing context, vendor entitlements and integration data. If a software product has a publisher and a product name, Samplify can compare it. Coverage spans productivity, collaboration, security, infrastructure, data, AI, design, finance, HR, ITSM, marketing and vertical applications.

How quickly do I see results?

How does the ROI actually work?

One avoided duplicate purchase pays for the year.

Is my data secure?

Yes. Samplify is SOC 2 aligned and processes customer data in segregated tenants.

Customer software inventory and contract metadata are never used to train external models or shared between tenants. The decision layer queries are run against your tenant only, with full audit logging available on request.

Does Samplify replace my procurement or SAM team?

No. Samplify replaces the analyst project, not the analyst.
